Quiet isn't a bad word.

This is a big, noisy, wonderful world we live in. I have a challenge for you. Find a quiet place. A place without TV, ipods, computers, music or other distraction. Now find a comfortable place to sit. Outside at sunset is awesome. Take time to just sit and think or just breath. Let the world slow down, relax and let your mind wander to happy thoughts. Learning how to enjoy quiet takes time. Take a note book and if a thought comes to mind write it down. Then try to just sit and be quiet. This won't be easy at first. It will feel like it has been a long time when it hasn't even been 5 minutes. Teaching your mind to slow down and be quiet takes practice. I know you might think "It's so boring". Really you are giving yourself time to think your thoughts. Not what the music wants you to think about or the TV. These are your thoughts, you deserve to hear them and then write them down. Answers can come in those moments as well as learning more about who you are. (By the way, this includes texting and phones.) Give yourself a chance to get to know you!
